Sala Opheas Kampuchea’s Story

Glow Today. Shine Tomorrow.

Every child has potential, strengths and a purpose in life. We want every child to SHINE brightly. To SHINE is to give out a steady light. Inside, they are happy and healthy. Outside, they bring the light to their world, hope for the lost, strength for the weary, and joy for the downhearted.

Bilingual Education

Research consistently shows that students who are proficient in more than one language often have better problem-solving skills, more self-control, greater cognitive flexibility, and a deeper understanding of different cultures. They integrate better into society, the workplace and form meaningful relationships. We want our students to thrive as adults.

Our English Language Arts program allows students to learn to read with phonics skills, empower critical thinking skills to analyze texts for validity and reliability with written proof, and develop creative thinking skills for self-expression, while also establishing strong study habits.

Speech and Learning Support

Equal opportunity to education means we support students who need extra time and care to succeed academically. Some children need additional learning support, targeted assistance or specialized interventions.

Apart from our in-class literacy programs for current students, we have a Functional Life Skills program for students with global developmental delays, between 6 – 18 years old, in Khmer and English. We also have After School programs and offer Speech Therapy by an internationally certified therapist.
